what is a pet death doula?
a pet death doula is a trained, non medical person who provides emotional, physical, and spiritual support to both pets and their owners during the end of life transition. surrounding your pet’s end of life, doulas can be a resource for the logistics and planning and the emotional and spiritual support for both you and your pet. this could look like consultation, guidance and education, appointment planning, comfort and support, ritual and legacy planning, and somatic processing and bereavement support.
as you move through your pet’s end of life, those overwhelming moments move steadily towards you. you have the strength, love, and compassion to move through this with your pet; and, you’re not required to do that alone. there’s a lot to consider during a time when there’s not much capacity to do any considering.
i’m currently accepting clients - pets and the humans who love them, at the same rates as 1:1 breathwork bookings - $90 true rate, $100 generosity rate, and $65 accessibility rate; our consultations will last about an hour and can be held virtually if you’re not in the kansas city, missouri area!
additional information is below - please let me know if you’d like to work together to make your pet’s end of life as comfortable and connected as possible. i want to remind you upfront that you did - you’re doing - everything right for your pet’s transition (just like you did for all their days.)
abbott the dog had the most peaceful last moments i could have hoped for. i couldn’t be more grateful for every single day i spent asking him for “paws?” and i couldn’t miss him more if i tried. since i started serving as a pet death doula, i also said goodbye to his brother, costello the dog; i still see all the places he isn’t, and he’s with me every single day nudging his little nose into my hand - at least in my heart.
